Stainless Steel Crowns

stainless-crowns

A stainless steel crown is designed to help restore proper function and protect a tooth in high-risk patients. High-risk patients are ones that have severe decay and pain associated with one or more teeth and could eventually need an extraction.

Prior to the crown installation, the decay is cleaned and removed. Then the tooth is prepared by the
dentist so that the crown sits properly and can fit over the tooth comfortably. Once preparation is
done, then the crown is seated over the tooth.
